iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. You should also keep the filters and dust bin free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is empty, it returns to its docking station and automatically emptying its dirt into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning the area where it started. In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our second-placed model, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces types, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is the self-emptying bin, which eliminates major sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and move around the room, and even vacuum a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It is powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but also small enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. The tests conducted by CR show that its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is an average and not a remarkable run time for a battery-powered cordless vac. It's enough time to clean a typical-sized home but not enough to reach every area. It also feels more sturdy and has a more powerful motor, and works better on floors that are bare and carpets with low pile, while providing a greater variety of features for automation.
