Don t Believe These "Trends" Concerning Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft item upgrades - lowest price -
Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its basic stats improve in value. The value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and the type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to how many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.
Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be found on all item tooltips. It is also used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, scenarios and raids, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.
When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment players can evaluate the level of an item. It's a good indicator of an item's quality and how much damage it will be capable of causing. Comparing items in a vendor's stock is possible using the Best item upgrader level.
On PC, you can see the level of the item by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory is that the item level is a number derived from a formula that determines the value of an Best item upgrade's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets increase the value of the item. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
This isn't the only thing that affects the level of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped may change its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stats of a base weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.
The upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For instance, a gray or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers can be upgraded many times at higher prices.
Another method to alter the stats on an item is by affixing it. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Affixes can provide the item level upgrade additional damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing the duration of cooldowns), or make the item upgrader mod unique by giving a special name to the item.
Presently, all affixes are able to be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circling arrows. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold as well as items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other options for rerolling.
Players can upgrade an item with specific stats or reroll attaches. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items will not show all the stats that could be either lost or gained at the same time.
Item Luck
A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the chances of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players a chance to acquire better equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more beneficial in early game runs than later ones as most players prioritize more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increases with each level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck, or to increase the luck of the item up to 140.
Additionally, certain items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items can be found in the shops or made with the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading that item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The Luck of an item may affect the success of an upgrade. Every item has a base success rate of 25% and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.
The upgrade overlays of the item are rendered above items in the inventory. This may cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
