World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to an item are a way to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all of its upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, dependent on the upgrader and what kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the fact that many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a widely used measurement of power and is visible on all tooltips for items. It also serves to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear, since PvP is limited at a lower level. The average level of an item is listed on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's an indicator of the item's damage and quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller is possible using the item's level.

On your PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are various theories about how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory is that the item level is a number derived from a formula which calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that various perks have different value, and also that sockets have gems that increase the value of the item overall. This could result in a calculated Best item upgrader's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

This is not the only thing that affects the level of an item. The location of where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have higher ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

Stats on an item are a significant part of what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The base stats of a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods which are then increased by the player's skill.

Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded one time however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to give items extra damage, special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to differentiate them by naming them.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold as well as items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other options for rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item by a specific stat, or reroll attaches. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However, all items will contain at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an item that is unique, or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed is the option to upgrade equipment without having to roll the affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item level, and the item compare interface would not display all the possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the likelihood of locating items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not, directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment earlier in the game and is therefore more beneficial in early game runs as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted with the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) for a further +40 luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade item is unsuccessful.

The success rate of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of successfully upgrading the item, and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on the extent to which success rates can be increased and the chance of an upgrade failing cannot exceed 100%.

The performance of an can be affected by the luck of that item. All items have an initial success rate of 25% and every item with Luck increases that chance by 5%.

The item upgrade item overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This may block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader; visit site, CORE client config.
