Undeniable Proof That You Need Item Upgrading
Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the Best item upgrade ways to improve your equipment without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will show you how to upp your items efficiently.
Upgrading equipment grants an additional bonus to the item upgrader kit's base stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons stronger. They can be found by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors or finding them in items-spheres. You can also salvage them from equipment that contains the components or by using high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when you remove them from the item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be stacked to boost the value of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be made for additional benefits. For example, a crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, and the boost upgrade can increase the attack or defense property of a weapon, or armor.
You can attach an upgrade template to an item Upgrader mod by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. Alternately, you can utilize the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item can gain when upgraded using that component. For instance, organic components offer a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is therefore recommended to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier for the next rank of weapon or gear, then move to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier every item also has the maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades available is determined by its upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The highest upgrade possible is a weapon of the tier 10. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a group of items which share a bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade will increase the guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded one of its stats will increase randomly.
The upgrade of a weapon can increase its damage base, which may be crucial for certain builds. Weapons can't be upgraded for greater maximum defence rolls than their base. It is possible to increase the value of certain set and unique items by upgrading them, but they may not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.
If you are upgrading an item that comes with an added bonus, the item can be rerolled one time and the guarantee will reset back to 0. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item, however the upgraded item level upgrade will come with different extra bonuses. Upgrades can be completed at the NPC [Armor] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each type. These are available at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also give a special reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled one time with the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can play rerolling any item that they acquire in the game if they have enough reroll tokens to do so. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for an amount of in-game currency. However, they cannot be refunded. The new item will offer the same extra bonuses like the first, however the statistics will also be different.
In addition to rerolling items players can also change the identification of any item by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and required attributes. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the equipment.
The player can also upgrade the level of an item for any equipment that is equipped. This is done by interacting with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. This will cost a certain number of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and type. Each step will add 5% more damage to weapons.
Upgrades can boost the capability of an item, however they can also reduce the quality of an item. It is therefore important to find a balance between these two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading at all however, others will need to be upgraded in order to maximize their potential. For example one player might wish to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent chance of blocking or FHR) to explore the possibilities of what it can become.
Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. It is a method used by players to gain access to the character or weapon they cannot otherwise get. These items can be expensive and time-consuming, and the RNG gods do not always want to play ball. The only choices left are to spend real cash or grind lots. Rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I think it was meant to to increase the value of rare items, but as equipment generally drops quickly and can only be upgraded one level up and you'll typically replace the item before it becomes old enough. It's not worth it to level items that have gem sockets as the power of the gem will far outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
If you click on the upgrade option on an item, you'll see a small window with the item's upgrade template and the crest and Valorstone costs to increase the item level. The costs will vary between weapons and armor, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template shows the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It will also list its current ilvl.
The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be decreased by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance, a weapon with an increase of 8% will decrease its ilvl by 8 - 8%.
In addition to the base ilvl boost it will also be upgraded in other stats, such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and dodge, block, and parry rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template you can see the amount of damage or defense an item will suffer after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost and the upgrade percentages. Aside from practice equipment, all other items and armor get the same stats once upgraded. The market determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch more than a non-upp’d version. The same applies to other armor pieces, such as circlets and tiaras.
