They can also find them on random treasure lists. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the Best item upgrader gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character that will be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
