Study of Chinese Learners' Pedagogical Choices in Korean

Discourse Construction Tests (DCTs)

The test for discourse completion (DCT) is widely used in the field of pragmatic research. It has numerous advantages however, it also has its drawbacks. For instance, the DCT cannot account for the cultural and individual differences in communication. Additionally the DCT is susceptible to bias and may cause overgeneralizations. This is why it is important to analyze it carefully before using it for research or for assessment purposes.
