World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage for every time it's upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure how much it will be improved after an update.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade item parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of a Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item upgrader mod has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP as the Best item upgrade version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition and the player having to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
