Why Item Upgrade Still Matters In 2024
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.
For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens are a way to reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon, or ring. This allows you to swap the item for another of the same type with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. They don't preserve the original equipment's condition and any money wasted won't get compensated.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of an item of equipment for example, increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a better quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to make it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, stays on the spot until the next Success is rerolled. This is a way to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened they show a complete description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.
In the end, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop offers for rerolls, and those that are located in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They can also be purchased by players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, players must first locate the appropriate item and then click the "level up" button. This will display a menu showing the item's current level and what it will be after being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Typically, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
After choosing the item upgrade to upgrade items the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not impact the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who wish to get an edge in combat but don't want strain their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for novice players. There are several ways to acquire them. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can also cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to increase the power of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will receive an upgraded level. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to one item at a time. Additionally each upgrade component will require a certain number of items to be applied in addition to an initial amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left one is where players can put in a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when the player has enough materials will begin the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of the item will increase by only a tiny amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.
Once an item reaches its maximum capacity and is no longer upgraded, it does not have the option to upgrade. When a piece of equipment reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped with new ones. However, this will cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
item upgrade upgrades give players the ability to boost certain stats on weapons and armor that they currently have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ depending on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium as well as the number of Upgrade Tokens.
Upgrades to items can be used to make set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from bosses and raids. Once an upgrade component has been placed in an item it cannot be removed and replaced freely, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers which can further improve the item's stats.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire" on the other hand, increases weapon damage.
Some items are better off being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but more because it lets players get the most value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly sought-after by melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
When you select an upgrade component that you want to put into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor) and the level of the item, the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
The game will place an item in your inventory after you've completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how close to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader (ulrich-bigum.mdwrite.net) NPC.
