Guide To Item Upgrades: The Intermediate Guide For Item Upgrades
Path of Exile item upgrader kit Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can be a fantastic source of extra damage and more AD or even more attaches.
Rare-grade equipment is often superior to modernized Common or Magic gear due to their higher requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrading they're attached to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. Alternately, they can be salvaged from items that have upgrade components within them by using an expert or greater salvage kit.
The amount of damage an armored item or weapon can absorb depends on the extent of its upgrades. The ability to absorb damage of an armor piece will increase when it's upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. However, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than it was before.
There are many different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game. Each has a different impact. Some upgrades give armor an extra number of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the kind of upgrade an item can be given, as illustrated below.
A few of the upgrades are also magical or a combination of technology and magic, which is shown by an "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Furthermore, some upgrades require a fee to use, which is indicated by a "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges for these upgrades are updated every day or never expire, dependent on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be found by exploring the environment and looting minor loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, but can be found at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant increases in stats and are definitely worth the cost.
The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece to its max upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it can also affect the speed and agility of the piece. For this reason, it is typically not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces above +9, because the increase in defense is usually not worth the additional weight and power costs of the improvements required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades give players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. For instance an upgrade can improve the damage that is caused by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a sniper rifle. Certain firearms have upgrades that enhance their inherent capabilities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and reduces the risk of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases the velocity of projectiles for greater damage).
Most upgrades for weapons require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons, and a whetblade to apply. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain amount of bosses and monsters.
To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials the cost of upgrading will be lower.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and sets has changed. Prior to Chapter 2: Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon and equipment by paying a certain amount of Bars. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level and at that point, the upgrades would reset.
You can still do this, but the process is based on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear with low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. These will have a better chance of bringing you the highest tier bonuses and blessings.
To improve their skills faster, most players will prioritize upgrading their weapons. In addition to these, players should consider upgrading the weapons that are most popular with their teammates to increase their power as well. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to make it more useful when paired with biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to boost a stat or provide secondary effects in armor and weapons. Jewelry crafting is a method of making them, where you combine gemstones with specific reagents on a table. The higher the grade of the gemstone, the better its secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses all over the world, or by collecting Legendary Gear. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The quality of a gem can be improved upon by the Jeweler, in stages that range from Crude to Royal. The stat boosts will vary according to the tier that the jewel is in when it's inserted into jewelry, weapons, or gear.
All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to obtain these. Jewels can be substituted with another jewel without damaging the original. However, you can only replace one jewel in an item of equipment once.
It is common to use more jewelry to enhance the appearance of. The jewels also improve performance and make a harder surface than steel, so that the repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to the movement.
A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs that can enhance the appearance of your weapons and shields. These glyphs provide a small boost in power and can be exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to be available as loot. Glyphs are upgradeable, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out from the inventory, and they are returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components like traits or aegis cannot be swapped, and can only be found through an upgrade extractor, or salvaging with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a great way to give your character many small, but useful benefits. They are available in the starter area as loot or as personal story rewards. They are also available from vendors and by completing road interaction. They can also be crafted by jewelers, and then found or purchased from the Trading Post.
The first trinkets that a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives a small, but valuable boost to movement speed and evasion. After that, they can get amulets, rings, and necklaces in the same manner to the way a player can acquire weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any device. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and only work with certain trinkets.
These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active when the hero isn't fighting. This lets a hero become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also make up for the absence of excellent slots in the team or talent tree which would normally be filled by the hero's Best item upgrader stats.
In general trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace in the near future. Also, consider items with desirable statistics that are less significant than the iLevel for the item Upgrade that is to be upgraded. This is especially true if you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item. It is more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat instead of two subpar ones.
At the beginning of the game, players in the jungle are likely to upgrade their yellow trinket to a red, while top and middle players usually choose either a pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices can impact a hero's ability to control the map.
In addition to the items listed above, players will also find other trinkets in the form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be obtained by completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
