World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item level upgrade. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes within their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrade way to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a problem in that it could make the item more expensive, even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an item, it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance damage to attack, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Players will still have to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade items requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
