12 Companies Leading The Way In Item Upgrades
Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades
The performance of a variety of Path of Exile items can be improved by upgrading their performance. They can be a good source of damage and more AD or even more attaches.
Often times however, upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear because of their higher requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to weapons and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item upgrader they are attached to. Upgrades to armor are available in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged using a professional or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrades from the items.
The amount of damage that an armored item upgrade or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the extent of its upgrades. The absorption of damage by a piece armor will increase when it's upgraded to the highest upgrade level. But, it's important to keep in mind that this will raise its weight, requiring it to weigh more than before.
There are many different kinds of armor upgrades available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. For instance, certain upgrades give the armor a certain number of health points while others make it lighter and stronger. The name of the armor upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade that an item upgrade will be given, as illustrated below.
Some upgrades also feature magical or a combination of technology and magic which is indicated by an "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees to use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades refresh daily or never expire, according to the upgrade.
Iron Ore is the cheapest way to upgrade your armor. It can be found by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more costly, but can be found at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied on armor pieces that are of high-level. These upgrades can provide a significant improvement in performance and are worth the investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.
The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece to its maximum upgrade level will increase its defense values. However, it will also affect its agility and speed. For this reason, it is not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces that are higher than +9 since the added defense is typically not worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades let players increase the effectiveness of certain aspects of an weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage caused by shotgun shells. Some weapons have special upgrades to improve their inherent qualities. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes weapon overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases the velocity of projectiles for greater damage).
The majority of upgrades for weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These are obtained through either completing Side Quests, killing a certain amount of monsters or bosses or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.
The process of upgrading a weapon, equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. The cost of the upgrades will be lower if you have more than one of the upgrade materials.
In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your weapon and equipment sets changed a little. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5 you could upgrade your weapon and equipment by paying a certain number of Bars. You could do this until you reached the max upgrade level of the equipment or weapon, after which the upgrades would be reset.
This is still possible, but it is dependent heavily on RNG. You should consider buying equipment that has low levels of upgrade but with high base scores and stat distributions. These will then have a better chance of bringing you the highest tier perks and blessings.
To improve their skills quicker, players usually prioritise upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R, which will increase its utility when paired with biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are placed in the armor's sockets and weapons, enhancing a stat and providing secondary effects. They can be created through an process known as jewelry crafting, where you combine a gem with several chemicals at a table. The higher the level of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or through finding Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.
The Jeweler can improve the quality of the gem in stages that range from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the jewel, it will provide a different stat boosts when it is inserted into weapons, gear and jewelry.
All kinds of jewels can be made at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a high enough level to obtain them. Like other upgrade components jewels are able to be swapped by a different jewel of the same type without destroying the original one. You can only replace the gem once within an item of equipment.
It is normal to use more jewelry for aesthetic reasons. In addition to enhancing performance, the diamonds create an outer layer that is more durable than metal, which means that repeated friction with pivots doesn't damage them as easily.
A Glyphmaster can offer glyphs to improve the appearance of your shields and weapons. These glyphs offer a small boost and can be exchanged, however they are not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, as jewelry, by visiting the Jeweler for gold and a scattered Crystal. Glyphs can also be taken out, which returns them to the inventory. Other upgrade components like aegis or traits cannot be exchanged, and can only be recovered by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets are a great way to provide your hero with various small, but beneficial benefits. They can be obtained in the starter areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through performing road interactions. They can be purchased from the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives a small but useful bonus to speed of movement and the ability to escape. After that, they'll be able to purchase amulets, rings and necklaces in the same way to how a player acquires weapons and armor. Each piece of gear comes with one upgrade slot that accepts either a universal or jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any device. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and only work with certain trinkets.
These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This allows a hero to be more efficient while inactive. It can also make up for the absence of strong slot in the talent tree or team which would normally be filled by a hero's top stats.
As a general rule trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace soon. Also, consider items that have desirable statistics are less significant than the iLevel of the Item Upgrader Kit to be upgraded. This is especially true if you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item upgrading. It is better to upgrade one important stat instead of two subpar ones.
Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one at the beginning of the game. Top and mid players however, will choose either a pink or green ward, based on the game's matchup. These choices can impact a hero's ability to control the map.
In addition to the items mentioned above, players can also find other trinkets that form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be obtained through completing certain milestones within the story. For instance, completing a chapter’s main quest or beating the boss. These achievements can be seen by selecting the relevant achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
