Upgrade components
Upgrade components are things that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an added benefit or additional effect when the equipment is used. They can be bought from vendors or players, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or constructed with crafting materials. In addition to offering attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are generally not accessible for general use, and they can only be used on Ascended equipment or other weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions can be recovered and inscriptions from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while connected to the item they are upgrading, and can be re-used after being salvaged. These upgrade items are the Best item upgrader option to boost quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the likelihood of receiving an upgrade by two times.
A component that is upgraded within an item can be replaced with a different one, but doing so destroys the previous one (except for upgrades of ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or higher. Adding an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the new item as it appears in the game (for example adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only own three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic addition to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, thereby increasing the overall power of the item upgrader mod. These glyphs are obtained by working through dungeons. They can also be found in specific World Tier 3 zones. However, it's important to remember that glyphs can't be used on a character that hasn't created an area of root dungeons with the same depth.
In order to use a Glyph, you must first build it from components and connect them to anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph with components, you can use the combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to lock it into place.
Certain glyphs require specific conditions to be fulfilled for example, 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.
Glyphs can be applied to a variety of weapons and objects, except for those belonging to a particular class. Certain glyphs have conditional requirements for instance, having a certain number of damage from Dexterity or Attack in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by five percent. It also has the chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that can be applied to limited-use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will contribute to the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most common glyphs in the game are the attack ones that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are especially beneficial for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are used to reroll results that are rolled during an Action. When the reroll happens the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens are obtained through a variety of ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. You can also purchase them at the shop or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards at the bottom of the chest.
The values for recycling points are provided for items that are at level 1. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item. This number will increase according to the item's level and rarity. Additionally the upgraded item won't keep its level after rerolling and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases depending on its level.
It is also possible to make use of reroll tokens to roll an item upgrades. However it won't bring back the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for players who wish to reroll a piece of equipment they don't like but still want to keep in their collection.
Three kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create the new item of the same quality.
To use rerolling tokens choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, choose a type of token. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. Utilizing an Item token will result in an entirely new Item of any kind. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon from the same faction.
The item may be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but a higher level. This will occur if the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
