Upgrades can increase the power of a piece of equipment and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations applied.

Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. These stones can also be purchased by players who complete daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will show a list of the item's level, and what it will be after being upgraded.
