Three Greatest Moments In Item Upgrades History
Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades
Upgrades to items are a frequent and essential way to boost the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of additional damage, more AD or even more attachments.
Sometimes, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is beaten out by Rare-grade equipment due to their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They boost the performance of the item upgrader kit (go to Chessdatabase) they're attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of the game and purchased from Blacksmiths on bonfires. They can also be salvaged by using a professional or higher salvage kits to recover upgrade components from other items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it will take on. The ability to absorb damage of a piece armor will increase as it is upgraded to the highest upgrade level. However, it's important keep in mind that this will increase its weight, which will cause it to be heavier than before.
There are many different kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. Some upgrades give armor an extra number of health points, while others make it lighter and more powerful. The name of the armor upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade that an item will receive, as shown below.
Certain upgrades require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, which is identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table below. Certain upgrades also require fees for use. They are referred to as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges associated with these upgrades change every day or never expire, dependent on the upgrade.
The cheapest way to upgrade armor is to use Iron Ore, which can be found by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive but is readily available at the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvement in performance and are worth the cost, especially for single-handed weapons.
The player must be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the max upgrade level will increase its defense value. However, it can also affect its agility and speed. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The boost in defense usually isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of certain aspects of the weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle, or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain weapons also come with upgrades that enhance their inherent characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, minimizes the possibility of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's acceleration for greater damage) are two examples.
The majority of weapon upgrades require the use of a whetblade, or one of the three Power Dices and a different amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be gained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain amount of monsters and bosses.
Upgrades to a weapon, equipment Set piece, or Whetblade requires visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine and paying her an upgrade fee that is based on a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be less.
In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and equipment sets has changed a bit. In the past you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to a higher level of rarity. You could continue to do this until you reached a maximum upgrade level for the equipment or weapon, after which the upgrades would reset.
This is still possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. You should consider buying equipment that has low upgrade levels but with high base scores and stat distributions. These items have a greater chance of giving you the highest level of benefits and blessings.
The majority of players will make the most of upgrades to weapons they are most likely to use to allow them to progress quicker. Players should also upgrade the weapons their squadmates utilize to increase their power. Shepard, for example, should upgrade the M92F so that he can unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when used in conjunction with biotic specialists such as Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels can be used to boost a stat or provide secondary effects on weapons and armor. Jewelry crafting is the process of making them, in which you combine the gemstone with specific reagents on a table. The higher the quality of the gemstone, the better the secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses around the world, or by finding Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The Jeweler can improve the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the jewel it will give different stat boosts when inserted into weapons, equipment and jewelry.
The Jeweler can create the highest levels of gems apart from the rare and legendary ones, which require an appropriate level to obtain. Unlike other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped by a different jewel of the same type without damaging the original one. However, you can only replace a jewel in a piece of equipment only once.
It is common to use more jewels for aesthetic reasons. Apart from improving performance, the jewels also create an area that is stronger than metal, so repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.
In addition to the above-mentioned upgrades additionally, players can obtain glyphs for their weapons and shields from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs, like jewelry, can be upgraded by the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis, cannot be swapped out, and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Trinkets
Trinkets can be used to provide your hero with various small, but useful, advantages. They can be acquired starting in the beginning areas as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They can also be crafted by jewelers, and found or purchased at the Trading Post.
The first trinket players can unlock is the cloak. It gives a small but valuable boost in movement speed and the ability to escape. After that, they can get amulets, rings, and necklaces in a similar fashion to how the player acquires weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with a slot for an upgrade that can be either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be used in any type of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and is only compatible with certain kinds of trinkets.
These trinkets also provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active when the hero is not fighting. This allows a hero to become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also make up for the absence of strong team or talent tree slots which would normally be filled by the hero's optimal stats.
As a rule trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best item upgrade in Slot) items you won't replace soon. Then, you should consider any items with desirable stats that aren't as important as the iLevel of the item to be upgraded. This is true especially if you're looking to upgrade several stats on an item. It is best to upgrade just one crucial stat rather than two suboptimal ones.
Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red trinket at the start of the game. Top and mid players on the other hand, will choose a pink or green ward, depending on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's map control abilities.
Apart from the items listed above, players can discover a variety of other trinkets in the game in the form of awards and trophies. They can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, such as finishing a chapter's main quest or destroying a boss. These can be viewed by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
