Upgrades to gear increase its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations used.

The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor, or ring. The item is swapped for a different one of the same type with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original item's level, and any resources wasted will not be refunded.

The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to change the attribute of a piece equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can reroll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by melee and weapons while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.

Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the start of every preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by grabbing on to them. To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve an exact roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
