Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations that are applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an acquired item like a weapon, armor or rings. The item is replaced by an identical item, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition and any wasted resources will not be refunded.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in chests and crates or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of an item upgrader, such as increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players additional health.

There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to produce it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens placed on action spaces stays on the spot until the next Success is rerolled. This helps you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they show an explanation and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.

In the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on selected Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints that the restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and other accessories. These stones are special stones which increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. They can also be obtained by players who complete daily contracts.

To upgrade gear, players must first locate the appropriate item upgrader and then click on the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item upgrading will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.

After selecting the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade item button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the longevity of the item. The system is an excellent choice for those who wish to gain an advantage in combat, but don't want to burden their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to the new gear.

For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are numerous methods to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It is achieved by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been attained.

Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon next to their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items, as well as a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the first is where players can put in equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level. Once the player has enough items and has pressed the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to offer an added bonus or effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs that can be removed and replaced freely.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor that they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will differ based on the type of item however, you'll generally require Dilithium as well as an amount of Upgrade Tokens.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they achieve a perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by the melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.

The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor) the tier of the item and the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.

The game will put an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how far you are to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
