Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

Components

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what can be improved upon an update.
