Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece and at times even add additional features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations used.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used.
