The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are applied.

To upgrade gear players first need to find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
